A variety of special interest “sections” operate under the umbrella of MWC, including book clubs, bridge, gardening and knitting. All members are welcome to join a group and are encouraged to participate. The sections provide a great opportunity to get to know other club members and to share and learn about a common interest. CLICK on the sidebar to get more information on your section of interest!
All are welcome to join, anytime.
For real-time updates about section schedules and details please check back here.

Spring - Renewal & Awakening
Drum Circles, April 27, 2026
The Wellness Section will host its third and final event of the year focused on - Spring Awakening!
To celebrate, the event will be “drumroll," DRUMMING!
Drum circles are fun, energizing and brain building! Join us at the Women’s Drum Center in St. Paul for a special event designed for the Morningside Women’s Club. The session will begin with an introduction to West African drums and proper playing technique. After that short introduction we will learn some traditional rhythms and then a complete traditional song! Research has shown that drumming benefits body, mind and spirit; learning to play an instrument benefits brain power in significant ways - one of the best is growth of the Corpus Collosum leading to measurable brain processing benefits.
